Angela Waldinger, born Sárközy

She received her diploma in Arts and Education from the Franz Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest and completed her skills under the education of world famous virtuoso harpist Susanna Mildonian at the Koninklijk Conservatory in Brussels with the diplomas “premier prix” and “diplom superieur”. She regularly attended the Dutch Harpist Week in Breukelen and participated in a summer course taught by Pierre Jamet, who had worked with Debussy. Besides her being member of the Het Gelders Orkest of Arnhem (Holland), she worked as a lecturer at the Conservatory in Arnhem.
During her studies in Brussels she won the Tenuto first price for young virtuoso artists of the BRT (Belgian TV). Following this, she had many performances and appearances on TV as solo harpist, also at Radio Hilversum in Holland.

She moved to Germany and was the solo harpist of the Philharmonia Hungarica in Marl. With this world famous orchestra, she traveled throughout the world. She appeared on the most important stages from the USA to Taiwan (for example: Carnegie Hall, Musikvereinssaal Vienna etc.).

She participated in numerous album and radio recordings (especially with the WDR (German Radio)) and worked with famous artists like Lord Yehudi Menuhin, Luciano Pavarotti, José Carreras and René Kollo.

At present, she lives in the Munich/Ingolstadt region.

Her repertoire comprises several hundred arrangements, individual adaptations, highlights of musical literature as well as the classical virtuoso repertoire.
